Custom-made furniture to fall in love with

“I create unique pieces of furniture inspired by the natural world, my Danish heritage and the British furniture history.
I have a deep passion for making beautiful things for people. I wish to make people happy in their everyday life through the furniture that surrounds them. Knowing that my furniture could potentially be in their family for generations is very humbling.
I strive to design furniture and objects that are simple in both form and function. There is something immensely satisfying in keeping it simple. I like when things have just one purpose, and do it really well.”

Nature

Nature is my biggest source of inspiration. I’m inspired by the organic shapes and landscapes that surround me in the wild. It is important to me to explore nature and natural shapes as part of my inspiration and design phase.

Architecture and space

I am fascinated by both architecture and space. My pieces are designed to occupy and enhance a space, but not take over or take away from it. I want to understand how people act in a space and how spaces can make us behave in different ways, ultimately seeking to let my furniture add texture and materiality to that experience.

Antique furniture

I have a great appreciation for antique furniture and the heritage they hold. I’m particularly inspired by Shaker, Georgian and Campaign furniture because of their unique simplicity and good craftsmanship. A Georgian chair that was made more than 200 years ago is still functional, beautiful and relevant today. In my work I focus on capturing the same level of quality and timelessness.
